This privacy policy applies to Clarif (“Clarif”, “we”) and to the clarif.co domain and our apps including Solvi. The data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye's KVKK Law No. 6698 is Clarif.

2. Data we collect

  • Account information: email, name and authentication identifiers used to create your account.
  • Usage data: in-app interactions, browser/device type, language preference, anonymised analytics events.
  • User content: photos of questions uploaded to Solvi and the generated solutions.
  • Cookies: essential cookies for session and analytics. See Cookie policy.

3. Purposes of processing

  • Provide our services and manage accounts.
  • Deliver AI-powered problem solving features.
  • Product development, debugging and performance improvement.
  • Compliance with legal obligations.
  • Marketing communication where you have given explicit consent.

4. Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6 / KVKK Art. 5)

We process your personal data on the basis of contractual necessity, our legitimate interests, legal obligation and — where required — your explicit consent.

5. Sharing and international transfers

To deliver our services we may share data with cloud infrastructure providers including Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and MongoDB Atlas. Transfers outside Türkiye/EEA are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards under GDPR Art. 44–49 and KVKK Art. 9.

6. Retention

We retain data while the account is active. After account closure data is anonymised or deleted within 30 days, except where tax or commercial law requires longer retention.

  • Confirm whether your data is being processed.
  • Request access and information about processing.
  • Request correction, deletion or restriction.
  • Data portability.
  • Object to processing and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
